Privacy policy
Last updated 15 August 2026
Akedra is a profit analytics tool for Shopify merchants selling cash on delivery. The product is still being built. Today this website does one thing: it collects email addresses for a waiting list. This policy explains what we do with that information, and what we will do with store data once the product exists.
Who we are
Akedra (“we”, “us”) operates akedra.com. For any question about this policy, or to have your data removed, email privacy@akedra.com. We answer every message ourselves.
What we collect today
When you submit the form on the home page, we store exactly four things:
- Your email address. Required. It is the only way we can tell you when early access opens.
- What you use now to work out your profit. Required. One choice from a fixed list.
- Which capability would help you more. Optional. One choice from a fixed list.
- Your store URL. Optional. Used only to understand what kind of stores are signing up.
We also record the time you signed up. We do not ask for your name, your phone number, your address or any payment details, and there is nothing on this site that could collect them.
Why we collect it
To email you about Akedra, and to decide what to build first. The two multiple-choice questions are genuine product research: the answers are counted in aggregate and they determine which feature ships first. Your individual answer is never published or shared.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. Where it does not, we rely on the plain fact that you asked us to contact you. You can withdraw either at any time, and the unsubscribe link in every email does it in one click.
What we will never do with it
- Sell, rent, or trade your email address. Not to anyone, not ever.
- Add you to a list you did not ask for, or email you about something that is not Akedra.
- Publish your store URL, or tell anyone which tool you said you currently use.
Who else processes it
We keep the number of companies touching your data as small as we can. Today it is two:
- Supabase hosts the database the waiting list is stored in. The table sits in a dedicated project that holds nothing else, with row level security enabled and no access policies, so it cannot be read from a browser at all.
- Vercel hosts and serves this website, and keeps short-lived server logs that may include IP addresses, as any web server does.
Both are processors acting on our instructions. When we start sending email we will add an email provider to this list and name it here before the first send.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising pixels, and does no cross-site tracking. That is why you were not shown a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. If we ever add privacy respecting, aggregate analytics, we will name the provider in this policy first.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until we abandon the project. If Akedra never launches, we will delete the whole list rather than leave it sitting in a database, and we will tell you we have done it.
Where it is stored
On servers operated by the providers named above, which may be located outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@akedra.com and we will action it within 30 days, usually the same week. You do not need to explain why, and we will not try to talk you out of it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Store data, once the product exists
Akedra will eventually connect to Shopify, and optionally to Meta and Google, to read order and advertising data. None of that is happening today, and none of it will happen without you explicitly connecting each account. We have written a separate plain-English page describing exactly what will be read from each platform, that the access is read-only, and how to disconnect it: what we read from each platform.
Children
Akedra is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
When we change something material, we will update the date at the top of this page and email everyone on the list. We will not make a quiet change to widen what we are allowed to do with your data.
